Medical Assisting

The Degree and Diploma programs in Medical Assisting will educate students in a range of office and clinical procedures performed in professional medical offices and clinics. Students will learn to perform these tasks on an everyday basis and can develop these skills during an externship program where they will receive experience working in a real medical environment.

Students will be educated in:

• Appointment Setting
• Triage
• Administration
• Phlebotomy
• Reading Vital Signs
• Medical Equipment e.g. ECG

Graduates will be able to find employment in a range of medical settings such as in medical offices as administrative assistants or as assistants in clinics. Graduates can also find employment as Transcriptionists or Billing & Coding specialists.
